Help Cois Keep Filming the Action!

As our loyal customers know, Pokerbet takes the business of fun seriously, with an unwavering commitment to becoming the number one online destination for poker, sports, and live betting entertainment.

However, we have always recognised our responsibility to support the community that supports us. Without our customers, athletes, sports leagues, ambassadors, service providers, and so many others, there would be no sports entertainment to enjoy, no one to enjoy it, and no means for us to bring that excitement to you.

With this sense of community in mind, we ask for your assistance, if possible, to help a fellow community member continue Filming the Action! Cois is the heartbeat behind the stunning videos that showcased the energy, excitement, and camaraderie of events such as the Blauwberg, Six Gun Grill - King of the Waves, Powered by Pokerbet, and the Trans Agulhas endurance race, where Pokerbet was the Leaderboard Sponsor. His talent for capturing the thrill of the ocean and the spirit of these events inspired Pokerbet to partner with Boost Performance and our co-sponsors. Together, promoting our sport and athletes' abilities not only to our fellow South Africans but also to audiences around the globe. It is therefore with great regret that we share some unfortunate news. During the final day of this year’s Trans Agulhas Challenge, while Cois was hard at work on the beach, pouring his creativity into capturing those epic moments, his videography equipment was stolen. Cameras, lenses, and gear that took years to build up and are critical for his work vanished in an instant. Pokerbet's COO, Charl Baard, was there on the day, and this is what he had to say:

I still find it difficult to convey what I felt when I heard the news. Throughout the event, I got to know Cois quite well. His passion, skill, and dedication were evident from the start. When I heard about the theft, as a hobbyist photographer myself, I could immediately relate to what Cois and the Epikku team must be feeling. 'Gut-wrenching' doesn't even come close. Just imagine losing cameras, lenses, and gear that took years to acquire - vital tools for his work - vanishing in an instant.

The team at @Official Trans Agulhas has launched a Back a Buddy campaign to raise funds so that Cois can replace his stolen gear and continue doing what he does best. #TeamPokerbet too is eager to help Cois get back to our events and showcasing TeamPokerbet once more.
